- I am a PhD candidate at the University of Missouri-Columbia in Fisheries & Wildlife Sciences. I study forest carnivores. I am also an Internationally published Nature Photographer. I live in a small 1940's cottage with my incredibly beautiful and intelligent wife Suzie and our four, four-legged children Leo, Elsa, Alice and Louise. We are originally from Virginia, and get back there as often as we can.

Although they do look large and cuddly, it is dangerous to ever approach a wild animal, and especially a bear. I don't recommend it for obvious reasons!
